Interior Decorating

I plan on purchasing a desk chair within the next two weeks. This upgrade will add to the overall awesomeness of my bedroom and keep me from lounging in my bed.

Let the scavenging begin!

This would be a cute desk chair!

Reflection

Fellow Improvers,

So far, I have posted three resolutions, and I am only adhering to one of them right now! I still stuff my face with whole pizzas and sleep in mascara! What gives? Any pointers for a girl who is trying to make minimal, modest lifestyle improvements?

Still haven't eaten those nugs. Go figure!

Love,
Kiki

New Year....New Me

With the Jewish New Year upon us (me) I have had some time to reflect and consider self improvements aside from the big ones (ie - be a better person) one of the more minor or should I say slight improvements I would like to make is minimizing my gum chewing. I don't know the exact point when it spiraled out of control but lets just say lately I have been going through just under 4 packs of gum a week. I usually buy 2 packs at a time 1 mint flavor variety and 1 fruit flavor variety (I don't discriminate among brands).

The main reason I need to stop is because in the past 3 years I have had 3 abscessed teeth, 3 root canals, and 3 crowns which equates to a lot of pain and I think like 1 million of Danny B's $'s. Let's call a spade a spade my teeth are the consistency of chalk (Ashleigh I think you know what I'm talking about). Also I heard its bad for your stomach and 4 packs a week is pricey and homegirl is on a budget.

Hygiene

Being low maintenance gal, I rarely wash my face before I go to bed. Gross, right? Well, sorry. Usually my skin is crystal clear and I stand by my poor hygiene.

The thing is- on the rare occasion that I wear makeup *gasp*- I sleep in it. And that is truly disgusting.

So for the sake of my skin, I resolve to wash my face when it is covered in maquillage.

Push fluids and continue the stomach cancer medication.

I have been sick, and most eating and exercising goals have flown out the window. So for now, I will say that I intend to push more fluids. Yesterday, caught up in all I had to get done, I drank three coffees and only one small bottle of water. Then I couldn't fall asleep and also felt like a piece of lint caught in the gum on the bottom of someone's shoe.

Today: Hydrate.

Approaching Bender

won't improve my life.

But I am going to try to drink lots of H20 to prep for it.

One step forward, two steps back.

Temptation

Yesterday, I almost ate Hershey's nuggets at work.

Thank goodness for my recently discovered will power!

Another Eating Resolution

Now that I have conquered the sweets in my boss's office, I am ready to go ahead with another eating improvement. Life moves pretty fast in Virginia and I definitely subscribe to the "eat n' go" lifestyle. Well, it is time to slow things down, more specifically, it is time for me to slow my eating pace down.

I used to pride myself on pounding my meals in a matter of minutes. The only person I couldn't eat faster than was my dad. That fact alone is a little embarrassing. So now I am going to take baby steps towards slowing my eating pace- I will make sure I take ample time in resting and digesting during meals as well as taking sips of beverages between bites.

This decision will slightly improve my life. After years of stuffing my face till I am sick, I will now focus on enjoying the delicacies on my plate- their flavors and textures- as opposed to my usual mode of swallowing sandwiches whole.

And yes, that is a sandwich holder in the picture.

The First Attempt

I am going to improve my life.

For starters, I am giving up Hershey's Chocolate Nuggets. They are located in my boss's office. I will stop sneaking into her office and stealing handfuls of these delicious nugs.
